Proven Results. Common Sense Leadership.
Steve Snell is a husband, a dad, and a proud Williamson County resident. He serves as County Judge, and his goal is simple: a safer and stronger community for everyone who lives here.
Steve and his wife, Amy, have been married for 30 years. Both went to Texas Tech, and both spent their careers as teachers. Their faith and their family come first. They raised their two kids here in Williamson County. Their daughter, Madison, is now in medical school. Their son, Will, is an LSU graduate who works in construction in Austin. The Snell’s are actively involved at Celebration Church in Liberty Hill.
Steve spent 31 years in public education, and 28 of those years were in executive leadership. He served 11 years as a superintendent and built a strong record in fast growing communities. As superintendent of Liberty Hill ISD, he led the district through 126% growth and more than $1 billion in building projects. He watched the budget closely, and the district stayed strong and on budget. During COVID, Steve would not go along with the county shutdown. He kept Liberty Hill schools open when others closed their doors. He also built up the leaders around him. More than 13 became principals, and 8 became superintendents. In 2024, he was named Region 13 Superintendent of the Year.
In April 2025, the Williamson County Commissioners Court appointed Steve as County Judge. They knew that running a fast growing school district takes the same skills as running a fast growing county. They also knew his reputation. Steve led his schools with transparency and integrity, and that earned the trust of his staff, parents, and students. That record made him a strong choice for the job. Since day one, Steve has focused on public safety, roads, smart budgets, and the quality of life that makes this county a great place to call home.
Now Steve is asking for your vote. He wants a full term to keep Williamson County one of the safest and most prosperous counties in Texas. He has the experience to lead, and he loves the community he calls home.
